May goals

Let's hope the Spring comes back to us in May. We had a fabulous summery week in April and now it is freezing cold again. We have got our winter coats out again.... enough! I want some warm weather and sunshine, after all I nearly have a new summer dress to wear! No travelling this month so hopefully plenty of sewing time!

 Hoping for finish
1. Orsola dress - nearly finished, I only have the inside waistband to finish sewing by hand. This will be my One monthly goal 


WIP
1. Farmer's wife 
2. Gipsy Wife - lots of catch up needed here 
3. Postcards of the world - 2 more postcards to draw and 1 to finish 
4. Farmer's Wife 1930 - let's try to continue to keep up more or less - I would really like to pick this one up again....

UFO / Abandoned WIP
1. HST modern sampler quilt - (19 blocks) - this one was my February goal on the APQ UFO challenge, I need a few more blocks to finish this top, it would be good to get there
2. Dear Jane - aiming for 5 blocks

It is snowing...

Well not really where I am. It is pouring down with rain and it is very windy too. But it has been snowing in my sewing room! If you have arrived from the Holiday Lane Pillow  blog hop , welcome! September in the Hexagon!

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. That was until I remembered a long forgotten UFO that was laying in a plastic bag in my cupboard. I thought it would be the perfect occasion to get the dist and cobwebs out (no it wasn't that bad really) and give it a new lease of life! It all started with a few scrap strips and ended with a few more strips! I ordered and received a scrap bag of Moda fabric a few years back and I received a pack of off-cuts of Migration by Holly Taylor.
